So this is what it's all about folks...the meat. We cook exceptional BBQ because we love our product. The combined weight of the 3 of us exceeds 800 lbs. so that gives you an idea how much we really do enjoy it.

Imagine having your next event catered with our award winning brisket, chicken, and ribs...

How it all began...

It started with good friends who loved to cook. Lance, Juan, and I (Scott) would often get together on weekend and special events to create culinary masterpieces. We've tried and cooked virtually every technique, spice, marinade, sauce, and side out there. Sometimes they came out stellar, and sometimes not so good.

Over the years we've honed our skills, and fed alot of friends. We had always dreamed of the day when we could build the pit of all pits, the one to rule them all.

Finding the pit...

By sheer circumstance Lance was over at a buddy's house throwing down several Bud Lights when he noticed an ominous rusty object in the distance. It seemed to call to him...upon further investigation, Lance saw the future flash before his eyes. The old, rusty pit, resting in its temporary limbo state (on a sawhorse) seemed to beckon the laborious hands of Lancus Maximus.

Juan and I heard immediately of the pit and decided to make our dreams come true. Within a week, it was in our hands. All she needed was a little TLC, and a lot of hard work to make her a champion. To see the before pictures, click here (opens a new window).

Rising to Stardom...

The first thing we knew we had to do was compete. We had literally just finished putting the finishing touches to our pit when we entered our first competition, The 5th Annual BBQ & Chili Cookoff in Buda, TX. On April 28, the barbequing community knew right away that LMT was a force to be reckoned with. With a 1st in brisket, 5th in ribs, and 9th in chicken in our first competition (and first time to even fire up the pit) we knew we had a good thing going.
